Getting used to the Karwendel mountains. It's enough for my fear of heights. 😅
Anyone who likes hiking in and around the mountains will get their money's worth here. Well-developed hiking trails, varied and safe, and lots of breathtaking panoramas. If you don't take a dream photo with you when the weather is right, you'll be right to be annoyed later. This round is great to walk with sturdy shoes, hiking poles if necessary, and good sure-footedness. By the way, the parking machine only takes change, it's best to have €5-8 with you, then everything should be fine.
... Second than you think. Today in the morning we visited a small farmer's market in Weidach and then wanted to see the much-praised Leutasch Ghost Gorge. At the farmer's market I learned, among other things, that the queen bee is marked with the same color all over the world. 2023 white. But let's go to the Geisterklamm. Here the spirits were not kind to us. All parking lots are full. So I looked for a hike nearby. The circumnavigation of the Karwendel Gorge was the closest. I had already ruled this out because I was not enthusiastic about 230 meters in altitude and a high proportion of farm roads. But far from it. A wonderful hike with fantastic views of the mountains all around but above all many gorges (Karwendelklamm) with wild water. Some beautiful paths climb slowly uphill in serpentines. Not a challenge indeed, but very beautiful and probably more beautiful than the Geisterklamm.😀😀 I'll let the photos do the talking. Unfortunately, the landscape and the depth of the gorges don't come across as well in the photos.
Not a particularly long, but a very nice tour with many wonderful nature pictures.
Great gorge, great circular route and a 1A waterfall at the end. The coffee in the parking lot is also highly recommended.
A tour just to enjoy. The Karwendel Mountains are always beautiful. The waterfall at the Karwendelsteg was worth seeing.
Our first tour took us to the waterfall in the Karwendelbach. Not difficult and extremely worth seeing! There was also a cool down in the Isar, at least for the feet! Freezing!
Scharnitz is really a little insider tip. Today we walked the Karwendelsteig and the Isarsteig there. With fantastic views of an autumnal mountain world. And down on the Isar beach you briefly feel like you are in Canada. The name Karwendel is of Germanic origin and goes back to Kérwentil (the “spear turner”), who owned a farm in the upper Isar valley in the Scharnitz area. Great tour.. the clock said 12 km.
