This beautiful island is car free. The first part of the walk was a bit 'park'ish. The second half of the walk was swamp again, a few planks and rocks. Beautiful view over the sea.
The tour starts at the ferry terminal in Tuvesvik. Parking in front of the port with the EasyPark app for 10 SEK an hour. Ferry costs 68 SEK for adults and 34 SEK for children from 7 years, tickets are available in the machine or via the Västtrafik to go app. The crossing takes 5 minutes. From Gullholmen it goes along the east side of the island. The island is something like the Swedish variant of Hiddensee. The west side (black hiking trails) is relatively wild and therefore only partially suitable for smaller children. Boggy forest passages alternate with stony sections and climbing and are therefore more for sure-footed adventurers aged 7 and over (sturdy shoes!).
