Today was the second home track of this holiday. After raining all night, the sky cleared around noon and we got decent weather for our hike. The Heimat Spur is not particularly full of highlights, but is still well suited for an autumn tour. It's actually only over forest and meadow paths and the asphalt percentage is zero. The first highlight is the Dreifaltigkeitskaoelle, from which you have a good overview of Immerath. At the rest area "Annbach" even the sun was kind to us and we enjoyed a coffee with a view of the Ueßbachtal with the chirping of birds. Large parts of the route now ran in the nearby forest on wider paths and we passed the Immerather Mühle and the Immerather Maar, which looked very green. A nice shorter tour for the afternoon.
A leisurely walk through forest and meadow paths. The highlight is the Immerath Maar.
We started out dry and returned soaking wet. About halfway through, the rain caught up with us, and we realized that our gear needed to be re-waterproofed. As for the tour itself, we can say it's a varied circular route that takes you through a lot of forest. The beautiful, but sometimes monotonous, long trails make the tour seem a bit longer.
A really nice day of hiking around Immerath. We saw maars, mosses, lichens, snowdrops, winter aconites 😍 and a hedge maze. There was games, fun and full catering from Ela. Thank you very much for that.
Today we walked the Wendelinusweg near Immerath. Even if not all traces of the last storms have been removed, it was a very nice circular route. On the way we found a beautifully made "Wanderstein".
Today we decided once again for a home track, the Wendelinusweg. After it rained all night and in the morning, the weather gods were kind to us and the sun came out. We started directly in the Eifel village of Immerath. First it went uphill to the small Trinity Chapel, where you have a beautiful view of Immerath - in the volcanic crater. From here the path led us mainly along lonely forest paths, past above the Neumühle and further above the Üssbach to the Immerather Mühle. Now we went to the beautifully situated Immerather Maar and from here back to Immerath.
Nice shady tour for hot days. Afterwards go swimming at the Pulvermaar. ☀️
After I sprained my foot yesterday on the MaareGlück, today I wanted to do a round without much HM. And this round was perfect.... Without any major highlights... But with incredibly beautiful views,👀 super soft moss and grass paths, a small, delightful maar and a labyrinth for fun. I didn't regret it and can only recommend it to everyone. So that was my carnival short trip to the Vulkaneifel. I would actually have stayed until tomorrow, but it doesn't make sense with my foot.... I'll be back 👍 it's beautiful here 😍 🙋♀️🐕
