This route was planned by komoot.
Today the weather is forecast to be unstable, with heavy rain at times 🌧️. A long tour would be pointless 🙅🏻♀️ and we're not keen on a boat 🛥️ because of the still strong wind 🌬️. But we're not letting that spoil our desire to explore! We haven't even fully explored the nearby nature reserve yet. Even the journey there 🅿️ was exciting. A dusty track, but one that isn't dusty because of the weather and where, funnily enough, there is a speed limit of 70 km/h 🏎️🤣 We really enjoyed the tour. There were root paths, springy forest floor, mosses and lichens, birch groves 🧙 and great old trees. After 6km I suggested a shortcut because of the approaching rain front but Jürgen thinks that just because the weather app says 80% rain with two 💧💧 doesn't mean it will rain 😉 Let's just say we couldn't fully enjoy the beautiful viewpoints by the sea, it was really worth bringing rain pants and jackets and hopefully they 🥾 will be dry again tomorrow 🙃 It was still nice! 👍🏼 For a late lunch we drive to Bryggan pa Tenö and have an excellent meal 😋 and then look over to Vaxholm, where we then wash ourselves 🧼 again while doing a quick errand 🌧️ These shoes would then be soaking wet and the outdoor activities would be over for today, while the Swedish world 🌍 is going under outside ☔️ Not really a problem from the sofa 😄
For our third and last day in the Bogesund natural reserve, we explored the west side. We simply followed the orange marked trail, which was a very nice loop. Again, we walked in the forest on small rooty paths, on some wooden planks to avoid the mud. We climbed up a bit, to reach the top of a small mountain, which gives a great view on Stockholm and makes a nice resting place. We also passed some open fields and pasture areas, did a short detour on the rocks along the sea, and saw very old trees (there are marking on the way).
