Trail Reviews

David Imboden
November 17, 2024, Jaunpass - Planhubel - Hugeligrat - Schönried – Zweisimmen

I used an existing route: https://www.komoot.com/fr-fr/smarttour/520633 There are some small changes like starting from Jaunpass and to use more mountain bike routes between Birehubel and Planihubel for example. The view is magnificent in this region. The route done in mid-November is really the last time to do it, there was snow and ice. In Zweisimmen there is a Coop gas station (so open even on Sundays) to buy something to drink and eat halfway.

Longer tour in wet and cool temperatures. I had already set off a long time ago, and it stayed that way. The climb to Bermatte was on asphalt, then to Rellerli on a gravel road, from where the single trail began, which was super wet. Then I wanted to head towards Sparenmoos, which wasn't a good idea; it was too worn down by the cattle and slippery. So I continued to Jaunpass on a wide gravel mountain path, which was also very wet. The descent to the valley was on various surfaces.
