Today we continued on the premium trails again. I was thrilled by the view after I climbed the Tower of Unity. The path up to Heldrastein is very difficult, but it's worth it. A detour (outside the P06) to Dreiherrenstein is worthwhile.
Girlfriend tour (long planned) to the Heldrastein. The weather was only partially involved (late summer yesterday, 11 ° C today), 🌞 in short supply - it doesn't matter, it was great. 👍 We started in the opposite direction of the usually recommended walking direction and climbed via Großburschla and Dreiherrenstein to Heldrastein. That was more moderate and pleasant for us than the rather unequal steps. 🐾 The tower cannot be climbed with a dog! In the upper area there are ladder stairs, very steep and with small steps. A visit to the "Herberge im Kleegarten", open Friday to Sunday, is highly recommended. Quaint, decorated down to the smallest detail with accessories and furniture that have been collected over the years, and great cakes and kitchens. 🤩
One of the most beautiful premium trails in Frau Holle-Land. The view from the Heldrastein is really fabulous, but I also took the detour to the Hüneburg and it was really worth it, whereas the view from the DreiHerrenstein, where I also took a detour, wasn't quite as good. And then there is the distant view from the Tower of Unity on the Heldrastein, views in every direction! The views are really great👍. I also find the path very varied, there is open terrain and then the forest around the Heldrastein, but it also goes along the Werra for a bit. The climb up to the Heldrastein is tough, but you're happy when you're at the top. My only drawback (even if it's rather underwhelming) is that you really have to travel a lot on old tank roads and be really careful not to represent yourself in the holes. Overall, one of the best premium trails in Fr. Holle-Land! Only recommended!
The ascent to Heldrastein first goes along the border path and then up steps through the forest. The tower has 164 steps, and the panoramic view from the top is definitely worth it. Suddenly, the two goats that live freely up there appeared before us. I found the way back down more strenuous than the ascent. Conclusion: Great up to Heldrastein, with beautiful views, the second half was unspectacular.

P6 Heldrastein Starting in Heldra, we went over field paths to the former GDR river dam, called the Blue Bridge, to the other side of the Werra. Via the Kolonnenweg (former border patrol path) I reached the forest where there was an immediate ascent. Unfortunately, I had to turn back due to fallen trees and take the alternative route further uphill on the Kolonnenweg. Arriving at the top and after a short breather, I passed the P6 artworks to the Treppchen Weg (stair path). (Höllenweg - Hell's Path - fits better). We went uphill over steep stair paths. I had to take some short breaks and catch my breath to enjoy the beautiful view of the Normannstein. The highlight came at the end, the Himmelsleiter (Ladder to Heaven). After a small detour to the Hüneburg with a wonderful view, we headed towards Heldrastein with the Turm der Einheit (Tower of Unity). After an extensive refreshment and a tour above the Muschelkalkfelsen (shell limestone rocks), we went slightly downhill over beautiful forest paths and past an old border stone to the Dreiherrenstein. Beautiful views into the Werratal valley were a reward for the detour. Back to P6, we went steadily downhill, partly very steep, on a steep forest path covered with leaves. After a section of stairs which is very adventurous, I had to take an alternative route to the Försterhäuschen (forester's cottage) due to tree felling work. Through beautiful forest paths and on the Kolonnenweg along the Werra, we crossed back to the other side of the Werra at Großburschla. Along the L 2110, on the other side of the Werra, we went over field and meadow paths towards Heldra. From below, we could see the Muschelkalkwand (shell limestone wall) of the Heldrastein and the Turm der Einheit (Tower of Unity) in the distance. A beautiful but strenuous tour in beautiful weather and with very nice experiences. See you soon, Your HerSi and always a good path.
