Sturdy footwear is required, as is surefootedness and a certain degree of head for heights. Mountain trail classified with a black dot = difficult.
From the Nassfeld Pass we hike west of Lake Pramollo through shady beech forest slightly downwards to the Winkelalm. From here it goes up a path to the Sella della Pridola. A dilapidated barracks and several tunnels are reminiscent of the horrors of the First World War. We stay on path 433 and follow the Kriegssteig south of the mountain through several tunnels. Wonderful views of the Italian mountains open up through the windows. After a slight up and down we reach a junction, we climb to the northwest and after about 40 minutes we reach the summit with the pretty bell and can enjoy the wonderful view of Pontebba, the Nassfeldpass, the Rosskofel etc. Back the same way!
Several problems during registration, the actual km are about 9.5.
Departure from the Winkel hut at the top of the m. Malvueric for the steep and very exposed CAI high route of Pontebba. The descent via the normal war mule track. 550 altitude difference Time taken 2:30 for the climb 4:50 overall with breaks. Super panorama@🥰
