Hiking
This tour doesn't have a huge elevation gain, but it's concentrated at the beginning of the hike. You'll need to put in a good effort for the first few kilometers; the rest will be pure bliss, viewpoints, and gentle descents. Whether from the Buckelstein rock or the summit of the Wasenkoepfel tower, this circuit promises magnificent panoramas of the Vosges plain and valleys. To be honest, you'll have to add 88 steps and a 17-meter elevation gain to enjoy the view from the top of the tower. But it's worth the effort.
At the Ungerthal Pass, which is roughly halfway, you'll find picnic tables and benches, as well as an open shelter.
The start and end of this hike are in Oberbronn. You can take the train to Niederbronn and add a few kilometers of walking to reach the start if you're feeling up to it. Otherwise, you can come by car and park in one of the car parks along the main street.
