Hiking
In the heart of the Swabian-Franconian Forest Nature Park, this tour takes you to magnificent viewpoints and deep into the Middle Ages. Discover Waldenburg, the balcony of Hohenlohe.
Starting point is the Friedhof bus stop in Waldenburg. Along the Otto-Borst-Höhenrandweg (High Edge Trail), you'll make your way into the town, accompanied by stunning views of the Hohenlohe Plain. Along the way, you can stop for refreshments and refuel for your hike. A worthwhile detour is Waldenburg Castle, perched boldly on a mountain spur. Take some time to explore the old town. Here, you can stop for refreshments and refuel for your exploration. The Höhenrandweg (High Edge Trail) leads back to the scenic loop of the High-Altitude Adventure Park. Once again, stunning views will be your companions.
Pack a picnic in your backpack, as a hut with a barbecue area on the Theresienberg invites you to linger. Children can let off steam at the playground and adventure area. From the viewing platform, you can let your eyes wander all the way to the Odenwald forest. Shortly before the end of the tour, you'll pass the Albert Schweitzer Children's Village, an adventure space for children with an outdoor activity garden.

It's absolutely worth climbing the Lachnersturm tower in Waldenburg. The key is available at the town hall.
The Panofit course evokes memories of the recently deceased biathlete Laura Dahlmeier. Her portrait can be seen on some signs (sniff...).

Today we were in Waldenburg, I recently saw the pictures of Heidi who recently walked there.
Everything is beautiful there, beautiful paths, beautiful views and a nice old town.
The little cafe has a wonderful viewing terrace.
So it's ideal for a short trip with a longer walk.
