Hiking
This trail once served as a way of life. It led schoolchildren to their classrooms, farmers to their fields, and women to the market. It is a true testament to life in times gone by when walking was a daily necessity. Today, hikers have taken over to discover the villages of the Millevaches plateau, the countryside, and the landscapes. Through this renewed interest, the hamlets have been revitalized and repopulated.
The route winds around Puy Chaumont, one of the highest in the area, and passes through beautiful, pleasant undergrowth. By setting off in the morning, you'll have plenty of time to take your time and fully enjoy the peace and quiet of the plateau.
This hike is accessible by eco-mobility thanks to the Bugeat TER train station, where you begin your walk. You can reach it by direct train from Ussel, or with a change from Brive-la-Gaillarde and Tulle.
