Today, I set off on my mountain bike from Riva del Garda into the highlands around Arco, Dro, and Cavedine – a tour that had it all: tough climbs, rapid descents, and stunning panoramas. The route led past shady pine groves, over dusty gravel paths, and through picturesque villages with fountains that invited welcome refreshment stops. The view over the Sarca Valley and the turquoise Lago di Cavedine was a well-deserved reward after many a sweat. What I particularly liked today: The route was quiet, almost meditative. I only occasionally encountered other cyclists or hikers. Two donkeys stood in a small paddock, watching me curiously; a warning sign discreetly reminded me of possible forest wildlife – otherwise, I had the trails almost to myself. One of the most beautiful tours on Lake Garda with little asphalt and an impressive landscape 👍
