This varied tour takes you through the idyllic landscape of the Pustertal Valley – along quiet paths, through charming villages, and with magnificent views of the Dolomites. The cycle path is excellently signposted and mostly on easy-rolling asphalt – ideal for relaxed yet challenging kilometers.
You start in Bruneck, and as soon as you leave the town, you've already gained some elevation. Now you leisurely follow the Old Pustertal Road. The biathlon roundabout is your starting point for the climb to Obergoste. Numerous switchbacks climb you approximately 400 meters – a sweaty climb, but with magnificent views of the Alta Pusteria and Monguelfo. After a flatter section, you reach Teisten – perfect for a short break.
You then cycle down to Monguelfo, cross the Rienz River, and tackle the next climb. Away from the busy main road, you'll cycle along a quiet, partially newly paved cycle path through the enchanting Pustertal Valley – with magnificent views and a few challenging climbs. A real insider tip!
