From Bizau, take the paved toll road through a forested area towards Schönenbach (tip: take a detour to the idyllic settlement of Schönenbach). At the Hänslervorsäß, a farm track branches off to the right, leading up to the Stogger Sattel. From here, you have a beautiful view of the mountains of the Upper Bregenzerwald.
This is followed by an initially steep descent on the alpine path, followed by a pleasant descent on a narrow paved road to Au. The cycle path along the Bregenzerach River takes you to Schnepfau. After a final climb, you reach the district of Schnepfegg, from where you can return to Bizau.

Easy hike to Alpe Rüschere in Bizau.
Alpe Rüschere is around two kilometers before the mountain pasture of Schönenbach and a few meters to the left of the toll road. Artur + Sarah Greußing and his family run the Sennalpe from mid-May to early October. Groups of up to 15 people are welcome all day. The fresh hay milk from the horn cows is processed into delicious alpine cheese every day. In addition, various semi-hard cheeses, alpine butter and cream cheese are produced, which can be tasted on site with a snack. The alp is in a quiet location with a view of the Gottesacker plateau and the Hirschberg.
