This route was planned by komoot.
Unfortunately had to go down by train, the little one was through 😴
Today was another hiking day. This time, unspectacular, without ropes, chains, water crossings, bridges, or flying 😂. Just a steady climb over the scree, and in perfect weather, too. Compared to previous descriptions, this tour would have to be described as "baby-egg-easy" 😁. We were also on Gaustatoppen about 20 years ago with our boys, both of whom were still in elementary school at the time, or just before. We didn't take the real summit cross either time, "only" the tourist cabin. There, however, we treated ourselves to delicious Vaffel med Syltetøj 😋. I'd rather not describe my interestingly distributed sunburn - despite the sunscreen 🫣.
A strenuous hike that is rewarded with a breathtaking 360° panorama. The mountain hut below the radio mast serves very good waffles. 🧇 The ridge path from the radio mast to the summit should not be underestimated and you should plan plenty of time. Parking costs 150 NOK.
A MUST for triathlon freaks, at least for those who are good enough and qualify - good luck Stephan - to complete this section under competitive conditions. It's a pure experience, even without any competitive thoughts.
Super hiking trail with perfect markings over boulder fields. At the beginning of June there were still some snowfields. Challenging
From the well-maintained parking lot of the tourist information office, we headed directly across the road onto the route marked with numerous red T-marks. The trail is well signposted and leads over rocky paths to the summit. There's an elevation gain of approximately 700 meters, which, given the stunning location, is best done in the morning or evening. A definite recommendation.
The equipment should also be suitable for this hike, as it is almost exclusively over scree and rocks
Today I went to the Gaustatoppen in Norway with my friends Erik and Morten 🇳🇴. At 1,883 meters, this mountain is one of the highest in Norway, and on a clear day you can see about 1/6 of the country! 😲 Despite my fear of heights 😨, we set off in cool but sunny weather ☀️. The climb was exhausting 💪, but the view was breathtaking, even if I couldn't really enjoy it due to my fear. A fresh wind only blew on the descent 🌬️, and the whole experience was just incredible. Tired but happy 😊, we know the effort was worth it. The Gaustatoppen and this unforgettable adventure will always be remembered 🏞️.
