What a wonderful world Today we drove to Lagow, through the Brandenburg Gate, and our hike around Lake Chechnya continued. Always along the shore, a magical hiking trail, pure nature. At the end of the tour, we stopped at the inn, had a super delicious meal, and then the slivovice, ola la la, it was quite something, but so delicious. 😊👍
Today we went back to Łagów to complete a long-planned project and walk around Lake Ciecz. The landscape in this area is truly a dream and reminds me a little of the Schlaubetal. The hiking trails are in very good condition. An absolute recommendation for anyone who likes to lace up their hiking boots and is not afraid of longer tours. You should definitely plan at least three hours for this tour. At the end of the tour, Komoot led us over a hill with a very old historical cemetery back to the parking lot. Since it was already getting dark at that point, the old cemetery seemed a bit strange, but according to Ilona's research, it is a cemetery that was built by the Germans around 1900 and used until the end of the Second World War. It was later no longer used by the Polish residents of the village. The municipality of Łagów continues to maintain and preserve this cemetery together with the German relatives of the people buried there. The oldest graves are from 1860. This round was actually planned with the bikes, which we didn't manage this season. As we discovered, the north-eastern trails on the shore in particular cannot be managed with the bikes, but this was already apparent from the many trail views and highlights here on Komoot.
A circular hike recommended by friends. It mostly follows the shore and passes under fallen tree trunks. There's also a restaurant along the way.
