Hiking

The "Ausgleich" hiking trail leads you through the Sielpark, close to the city center. In this expansive landscaped park, you can unwind on the banks of the Werre River.

You start at the Kurpark and walk past the bronze sculpture by Peter Joseph Lenné, who created the first designs for the Kurpark complex. After leaving Inowroclaw Square with its many cafés behind you, you walk through the railway underpass and arrive at the Sielpark.

A beautiful circular route leads you through the Werre River valley, where you can take a break on the banks. Towards the end of your hike, you will reach the graduation tower, where you can take a deep breath of the saline air and return refreshed to the starting point of your hike.

Highlight • Bridge

The bridge over the Werre connects the two parts of the Sielpark, which are separated by the river. You have a great view of the river meadows. 😉👍📸

Graduation tower in Sielpark

Highlight • Monument

Newly built in 1989/90; is reminiscent of the salt tradition of Bad Oeynhausen and serves as. Open-air inhalatorium.
Not far from the location of this graduation tower, three graduation towers were built by 1932/33 and 1939/40, which were essential parts of the "Neusalzwerk" saltworks, which were founded in the middle of the 18th century and closed in 1928 and have also been used as a spa treatment since the spa was founded in 1845 were used.
At the turn of the 19th century, around 50,000 hundredweight of salt were boiled in the saltworks every year.

The orange trail of the VitalWanderWelt is simply beautiful... feel free to follow it!

Today (as practice for the Harz) there was a really quiet ride with some cyclists...skaters...walkers (not really many)
Plus "only" 10 minutes of free running...otherwise retractable leash...since leashes will still be compulsory in the Harz in June 🙈
But the little shit mastered it brilliantly ❤️😍

Stress with the neighbors 😵‍💫, off to Sielpark for a nice walk to clear your head ❣️ A wonderful walk, plenty of shade and benches. My personal highlight was the unexpected discovery of the ice cream parlor "Angelina" maps.app.goo.gl/1AkiYkaX4K3ihM5i7?g_st=ac
A wonderful place to linger and enjoy 🍧 ☕
If you're really hungry, you could even eat at the restaurant next …
