This route was planned by komoot.
From Bürglen to Unterschächen, it's just under 10 km along the Klausen Pass road. Not very interesting, but it still climbs almost 600 meters. From there, the Brunni Valley is magnificent. Only rocks and mountains on three sides. Brunnialp and Trogenalp are both very nice destinations. Unfortunately, both are already closed, and I brought my food in my backpack. The view from Trogenalp is sensational. You could take the trail down from Brunnialp. Unfortunately, it was overcrowded by a trail runner, so I had to take the road again.
This tour had been on my list for a while. The weather was very nice (I would have appreciated a few more clouds). I slightly modified the Schweizmobil route with komoot so I didn't have to spend too much time on the main road in the Schächental valley. The climb in the Brunnital valley is very beautiful, and past the Brunnialp-Beizli to Alp Trogen is definitely worth it. After a long climb, I stopped at the Brunnialpbeizli on the descent, which then continued on a long S1/S2 trail (very nice!). At Unterschächen, I deviated from the main road for the reasons mentioned above and ended up on a path marked on the Schweizmobil and komoot, which was really tiring (wet, slippery, moss-covered stones, rotten wood, a narrow, overgrown path, ups and downs), so I finally turned around and took the main road after all. The whole thing probably took me about an hour. On the train ride home I had the pleasure of meeting @Torsten and his wife, so the journey back was very entertaining.
