On this easy tour we discover a real jungle area, the Hans-Watzlik-Hain, with the largest fir in the Bavarian Forest and other huge old trees. The Schwellhäusl entices you to stop with Bavarian-Bohemian cuisine and is idyllically located on the Schmalzbach threshold. The path leads over the Hochbergsattel and through…

That was a nice, easy to walk tour from Bayrisch Eisenstein. The highlights: the Watzlik-Hain, the Schwellhäusl and the Schwellsteig. Theoretically, you could have included the jungle trail in the tour... but you have to have a reason to come back. The boy wanted to do a "fog tour" today (for whatever reason 😅), but unfortunately it didn't work out because we had great weather on our "Bussard" round trip 🌞🌲 The tour officially starts in B.Eisenstein and leads over the Hochbergsattel to the Schwellhäusl and after a delicious lunch over the iron cross back to the hiking car park (free of charge)! The climbs are manageable and relatively short, so almost everyone can enjoy the beautiful Bavarian Forest autumn on this tour at the moment! 👌🍂🍁🍄
The tour is extremely well signposted, and since I went on a weekday, I was almost alone. I'd describe the difficulty as easy, but you should wear sturdy footwear, as the wet ground can be slippery at times. The trail is also suitable for families with active children or dogs; there's a special path for cyclists that's also suitable for strollers. A lovely little circular tour, easy to do even in sunny weather, as you walk entirely through the forest, or when you don't have enough time or the weather for a longer hike. Highly recommended
A very nice tour through the "primeval forest" of the Bavarian Forest. This round tour starts at the train station with the buzzard sign and the reference to the Schwellhäusl. There are specially marked trails for hikers and cyclists. Please sturdy shoes and possibly sticks, which are advantageous when going downhill as the paths are criss-crossed with roots. Have fun on this rustic tour
Walked the Buzzardweg Rundweg from Bayrisch Eisenstein.
Went to Bayerisch Eisenstein today. We decided on the “Bussard” circular route. This is a leisurely tour through the forest. The area around Bayerisch Eisenstein is a very beautiful hiking area with many great trails. We parked at Anton-Pech-Weg 2; this is a small parking lot right next to the playground. The path is partly very rustic with tree trunks across the path. The hike leads past the Schwellhäusl with a nice refreshment stop.
