Mountain biking

Located in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, the West Bragg Creek Provincial Recreation Area offers an ideal network of trails for mountain biking and fat biking – summer and winter. What's more, the trails specifically designed for fat biking are among Alberta's best winter trails, attracting winter fat biking enthusiasts or those simply wanting to try the sport.

This loop takes you along fantastically maintained trails to great viewpoints and through beautiful forested terrain traversed by West Bragg Creek. From the central trailhead, you first follow the Braggin' Rights Trail. Steep inclines lead you to the Merlin View Loop.

The trail winds through the trees to a large meadow. Here, you can rest on a small bench and enjoy the view to the south and east. Over small ridges, through fun curves and sharp descents that don't require advanced skills, you pedal past Merlin View until you arrive back at Braggin' Rights and later at the parking lot.
