Alpine circular hike with fantastic alpine flora Info/Facts: The hike from the Nenzinger Himmel to the Pfälzer Hütte and further over the Augstenberg offers an impressive experience in the Vorarlberg mountains. The diversity of alpine flora is particularly great here in July and is one of the most beautiful hikes for those interested in botany. The starting point is the Nenzinger Himmel, which is only accessible by hiking bus from Nenzing. The route to the Pfälzer Hütte leads through a beautiful alpine landscape and covers about 5 kilometers, taking about 2 hours to walk. The ascent to the hut leads across species-rich meadows, and one of the highlights is the blooming of the fire lilies in July. After stopping at the Pfälzer Hütte, you can descend the same way or continue over the Augstenberg along the beautiful high trail to the Gamperdona Inn, which is located on the edge of the Nenzinger Himmel. The Augstenberg offers wonderful views of the surrounding mountains and makes the return to the starting point a special highlight. The entire hike is approximately 12 kilometers long and can be completed in about 5 to 6 hours. The trail requires some surefootedness, and the 700-meter descent from the Sareisajoch down to the Nenzinger Himmel can be slippery and strenuous in wet conditions. The entire tour should not be underestimated. Protection and Conservation: The region around the Nenzinger Himmel and the Pfälzer Hütte is located in a Natura 2000 area and is part of a valuable nature reserve. These mountainous areas are not only a true natural paradise, but also a habitat for numerous animal and plant species. To preserve this unique flora and fauna, it is important to stay on the marked trails and respect nature. Collecting plants and disturbing wildlife are strictly prohibited. Tip for the experience: This hike is particularly recommended towards the end of July, when the snowfields have melted and the alpine flora is in full bloom. A small picnic on the Augstenberg or at the hut with a view of the mountains rounds off the hike and offers the perfect opportunity to enjoy the silence and beauty of nature.
Since I had my eye on the panuler first and this fresh snow got on the hood today, I had to reschedule at short notice. -> small Augstenberg round The tour started when it was raining and ended when it was raining. But it was still a wonderful hike. Lonely paths, meditative silence, impressive mood.
