Trail Reviews

Ruediger
July 4, 2025, Bunkermuseum nahe der russischen Grenze

A beautiful yet simultaneously oppressive hike. Past and present converge, and unfortunately, the need for defense is once again a topic of discussion. The stone wall, built over a length of 350 km, is particularly interesting. The approximately 1200 km long Salpa Line is one of the strongest and best-preserved fortification chains in Europe from World War II. However, this fortification never saw any fighting because the Russians had already been stopped.
