This beautiful day hike takes you from Stampa via Soglio to Castasegna. From the starting point at the Val d'Arca bus stop, you hike to Coltura and past bright green meadows that offer a great panorama of the mountains to Caccior.
Behind the village, you enter a fairytale forest and cross rushing streams on adventurous wooden bridges. Finally, you climb up a rustic mule track with stone steps to Soglio. Here you have earned a break and can stock up on provisions in the farm shop.
With renewed energy, you then continue on your way. It leads mostly downhill. It goes through shady forest and past steep rock faces. At one point you even cross under the Caroggia stream through a rock tunnel and can watch it cascade down the rocks in a waterfall.
You then continue hiking downhill and reach the picturesque chestnut groves of Brentan. From here it is not far to the end of the hike in the center of Castasegna.
