A wonderful bike tour with our camping friends. And our little ones really big.👏🚲🚲
After what felt like a long winter break, where you couldn't really go on nice bike rides due to the weather, I finally went on a bike ride again. It was fun - spring is welcome... 😊
Beautiful tour with many different landscapes. Parking and start at Indemann N 50*51.043' E 006*21.973'
Today we went on a lovely bike ride with Gerd in dry but very windy weather. Our route first took us through fields and past blossoming rapeseed fields to Lucherberg. We took a look at the excavators and the approaching Inden open-cast mine. The view into the almost completely drained Lucherberg Lake was also interesting. Then our tour took us past the Indemann, the landmark of the Indeland. It is accessible and offers an impressive panoramic view of the region and the open-cast mine. We then followed the renaturalized Inde on varied paths. A steep gravel passage had to be conquered near Kirchberg. The rest of the route then took us past fields and meadows to Merken, where we treated ourselves to a delicious ice cream. After that it wasn't far to go home.
Our bike tour on May 1st. Starting at the base station in Mariaweiler, the path led us through partly wonderful yellow blooming rapeseed fields in the direction of Langerwehe. Continue through fields and Luchem, past the Lucherberger See to the Indemann. Almost fainted in the shadow of the Indemann and stopped off in the beer garden. But then I quickly escaped the hustle and bustle and raced down the Goltsteinkuppe in a brisk descent. Then we went along the already renatured part of the Inden opencast mine and the Inde, which was newly routed around the opencast mine. On the way we cooked a warm meal and then a coffee in Trangia and then enjoyed it. Nice that we found a relatively lonely and quiet dining area (table with benches). After our lunch break we continued along the Inde to the beautiful chapel of Lohn. We then crossed the river several times.
