Hochgehteufelt – HOCHGEHBERGE on the Swabian Alb

The hiking trail »hochgehteufelt« leads through the impressive Teufelsschlucht, which gave it its name, and offers a unique nature experience. The gorge leads on a sporty path to the Alb plateau, where a variety of nature and viewpoints await. Around the Eninger Weide, a paradise for nature lovers and families, barbecue areas and a playground with a forest ball track invite you to play and linger. If you're lucky, you'll spot red deer and wild boar in the game reserve. The path also leads to three spectacular viewing rocks: the Hannersteigfels offers an overwhelming view of the wide landscape, the Stausee-Blick offers a wonderful view of the Glemser reservoir and at the Gutenberg there is a fascinating panoramic view of the steep slopes of the Alb, the Achalm and Eningen unter Achalm. Picturesque orchards along the path round off the nature experience and invite you to take relaxing walks. During a well-deserved rest in the Eninger Weide hiking lodge or in the cozy Schützenhaus, you can treat yourself to regional specialties.

🌄Hochgehberge🌄 😈"hochgehteufelt" Yesterday I found out that a new 🥇premium trail of the 🌄Hochgehberge is to be opened in Eningen unter Achalm on Sunday. As I had already done all 21 trails of the Hochgehberge, I couldn't wait until Sunday and today I hiked this 22nd trail 🥾with @Robert 😍. The circular hiking trail 😈"hochgehteufelt"😈 offers many different attractions on the Albtrauf east of Eningen unter Achalm. After the climb through the 😈"Devil's Gorge"😈 and the 🐑Ehninger Weide🌼 you will find wonderful 👀viewpoints at the "Hännersteigfels", "Stausee-Blick" and "Gutenberg". The path also leads right through the wildlife park, where there is a good chance of seeing the 🦌red deer and 🐗wild boar. Yesterday we decided not to drive too far and, above all, to sleep in. No sooner said than done. After breakfast, we headed to Eningen unter Achalm, to the parking lot of the forest outdoor swimming pool. From there, we set off on the Hochgehberge premium trail "Hochgehteufelt 👿." First, we climbed steeply through the Teufelsschlucht (Devil's Gorge) to the Alb plateau. Once there, we crossed the L 380 (Würtingen - Eningen unter Achalm). There's a Frisbee golf course on this side. There were a few groups there. It was very interesting to watch the Frisbees being thrown into the baskets. We continued along the Albtrauf to the Hännersteigfels (Hännersteig Rock). From there, you have a wonderful view of Eningen unter Achalm, the Achalm observation tower, the Roßberg (Roßberg Mountain), and the Pfullinger Onderhos (Pfullinger Onderhos). The next highlight was the view of the same name, overlooking the Glems reservoir. The trail led along the edge of the upper reservoir and the edge of the Albtrauf ridge to the Gutenberg rock. There, we rested on a sun lounger for a rest and enjoyed the view once more before the descent began. At km 5, Komoot tricked us into thinking it was an off-grid section. This is, however, the officially signposted trail, which leads down in switchbacks. From km 6.5 to the Schützenhaus (7.35), the trail follows a paved access road. Afterwards, we continued along a meadow path past the upper part of the forest outdoor pool and along the gravel path back to the starting point. Thanks to @Günter L.S. who already pre-hit this tour in October 2024👏🤩. There are refreshment options at the Schützenhaus and the Eninger Weide hiking lodge. At km 2, there is a playground and two large barbecue areas.

Today I wanted to get an impression 😀 of the new premium hiking trail that belongs to the Hochgehberge series. What is missing is a drink station, which should actually be part of a premium hiking trail. Apart from the outdoor pool 🏊‍♀️ (seasonal) and the shooting club house 🔫, which is more often closed than open anyway. Thu. 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sun. 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Rest closed. For shooters, definitely Ok 👍 We took our 🥪 snack break at the Gutenberg viewpoint. The beer 🍺 of the day was from the Hofbräu Brewery Munich. A Hofbräu Original with 5.1% vol. Honest, tasty, simply solid brewing art 😋😋

Today was the latest tour in the “Hochgehberge” series, entitled “hochgehteufelt”. Some people have already done the tour and I liked the pictures and reports so much that I was really “excited” about the new round. The start was at the hiking car park, which is located in the immediate vicinity of the very beautiful forest outdoor pool near Eningen. Definitely a destination for the summer. After a short time, the path goes steeply up through the very beautiful Teufelsschlucht - a very old path. This leads to the Alb plateau and the Eninger pasture. The path leads past a large playground and barbecue areas, which were already used today. It continues past various beautiful viewpoints, such as the Hännersteigfels (767m) and the reservoir view from which you have a beautiful view of the Glemser reservoir. Then I passed a game reserve where I could spot deer. Then I came to the Gutenberg lookout point (703m), from which you have a very nice view of the Achalm. Then the path winds down into the valley. Here you then pass old orchards and a shooting range. Then you get back to the starting point of the tour. The "Hochgehberge" path was a lot of fun. It's a great collection of very nice hiking trails anyway.

Today after Godi we went for a hike up the new premium path with a dear friend. The weather was kind to us but the path isn't really premium😁 There are 2 really beautiful views, a great game reserve where a deer was roaring beautifully around its favorite spot 😃👍🏻 There was a lot going on at the DiscGolf course and we were able to have a detailed chat with one of the players. It's really amazing how skillfully they can throw 👍🏻 It was a great Sunday afternoon ☺️the path isn't really great, it consists of a lot of gravel sections. 😁 We finished in Neuhausen Metzingen in the Rebstöckle, which @Martin1966 showed us on a Komoot hike ☺️, thank you for that, I really recommend it ☺️👍🏻🙋‍♀️🙋🏼
