This route was planned by komoot.
Tour 18 in the Palatinate Forest 🌳 Everything was nice and shady today, with 30 degrees Celsius, and the perfect air conditioning. The trails put a smile on my face, and there were also some good PWV huts. 😊
According to the mountain bike park's homepage, it should be an easy, family-friendly tour. So slightly looks different for me, but I knew what to expect.🤷♂️🚵🏼
Start at the parking lot of the Lemberg castle ruins. Then down to Langmühle to the Rudolf-Keller-Haus where the official start of the tour is. Basically easy tour on wide paths and easy trail sections. Opportunities to stop off directly along the route: "Drei Buchen" and "Hohe List" forest huts I was too early for the Drei Buchen and the Hohe List was closed. So then at the end of the tour in the Burgschänke on the ruins of Lemberg. I can recommend the homemade sausage salad with fries.
The Palatinate Forest MTB Tour No. 18 with ideas from Eli is a very interesting round, unfortunately the first trail is almost overgrown and it is better to follow the diversion, otherwise it was another brilliant Palatinate Forest excursion for us
Tour slightly shortened and partially modified from the original Tour 18
Today, we replanned route 18 a bit. The singletrack portion is at 13%, which is a bit too low for us. We planned some nice trails, got lost a few times, and picked up a few things on the spur of the moment. Sandro also left out a snippet, and that was the Felsentor.
Nice tour. It's just a shame that Komoot is sometimes quite imprecise. Refuge 2km and 70Hm.
Beautiful scenic tour through the Storrbach valley with its small lakes and stream, a hut invites you to rest along the route and a detour from the route to Friedrich's little house. There are several natural seating areas, benches and tables. At the end of the tour you can have a wonderful break for a snack at the PWV hut Hohe List with a group of friends, this tour is just great.
