Great hike starting from the Berghotel Rudolfshütte. We went over the dam counter-clockwise via the Hans Gruber Weg. We have made the way with our bitch - 42KG/64cm and it worked wonderfully. There are some ladders to climb, so it's important that the dog hears well and follows instructions. From the last ladder, the path then continues normally without any problems.
A beautiful hike in alpine terrain. Please bring sufficient food and appropriate equipment. Refreshments are available only at the start/finish. The trail may be partially flooded by meltwater, and you'll need to navigate your way through the water. Some snowfields may also have to be crossed (as of the end of June 2025). These may be partially eroded and hollow underneath. CAUTION: RISK OF FALL! Not a tour for beginners. Surefootedness and fitness are required! Those who wish can extend the tour from the Sonnblickkees over the glacier to the Stubacher Sonnblick (summit with summit cross) (the return route to the Weißsee circular trail is the same as the ascent).
