Today I was in the districts of Schwäbisch Hall and Ansbach, with the highlight of Rothenburg ob der Tauber. It started in Schrozberg across the fields towards Rot am See from there towards Tauber near Insingen. From here on I took the cycle path along romantic roads to Rothenburg. After Rothenburg it’s mostly back through forests, a tour with very little traffic
Very nice tour with little traffic. About 15% of the route was on gravel roads. In Rot am See there is actually a bakery with a terrace that is also open on Sundays. Huge selection of cakes. The cake was delicious.
It was really a wonderful tour Any time
Very nice tour with mostly flat and paved paths.
A beautiful circular tour, along quiet side roads and field and forest paths, very well marked. My phone, however, slightly exaggerated the elevation gain 😂; it's only around 600 😃.
🎶 .... I want to go to the beautiful summer time go to the land of the Franks Valeri, Valera, Valeri, Valera, drive to the land of the Franks! 🎶🎶🎶 The fourth wing of the wheel butterfly and at the same time the last round of my four-day Franconian bike tour. Another very nice round today. It was four wonderful days with the best weather. The western wings still belong to the Hohenlohe Plain, a fertile landscape with rolling hills. The eastern wings lead to the Frankenhöhe, or to Schillingsfürst. Here the calves are a little strained. There is always some wind blowing, sometimes more, sometimes less and mostly from the front 😔. The many wind turbines bear witness to this.
The Cycle Butterfly Trail consists of four circular tours that lead through Romantic Franconia and the Hohenlohe-Schwäbisch Hall region. The purple wing of the Cycle Butterfly trail leads across the Bavarian border into Baden-Württemberg and the Hohenlohe region. There, the trail passes through the towns of Schrozberg, Blaufelden, and Rot am See, among others. The red wing takes you up into the hills and along gently undulating terrain through small villages and past numerous farms until you reach the Tauber Valley near Diebach. Following a former railway line, you return to the beautiful medieval town of Rothenburg. A varied circular tour on paved cycle paths and farm tracks and quiet side roads, leading through beautiful landscapes and offering repeated magnificent views.
