Hiking
The approximately five-kilometer-long Randersacker wine trail combines wine tradition, fascinating nature and wonderful views. The tour begins in picturesque Randersacker and takes you uphill along Maingasse. Here you can find out a lot about the shell limestone soil that characterizes the wine, as well as about the region's grape varieties, on information boards.
A first rest stop is at the Maria-Schmerz Chapel, from which you can enjoy a fantastic view of Randersacker and the surrounding "Pfülben" and "Marsberg" vineyards, framed by the glittering Main.
You continue to climb to the "Old Franconian Vineyard", a special highlight of the trail. Here you can experience winegrowing as it used to be done: with the vines being trained on poles and the "mixed set", in which a variety of varieties such as Riesling, Silvaner or Pinot Noir thrive on one area. Worked by hand, the vineyard provides an authentic insight into traditional cultivation methods.
A comfortable seating area invites you to take a break, which is particularly worthwhile in April when the vineyard tulips are in full bloom. The circular path around the vineyard, lined with further informative boards, rounds off this enjoyable hike.

First in the vineyard, then at the desk... I love this flexibility about my independence in particular 😀 So I followed the green grape on the Randersacker wine trail in the morning foggy mood and had a look 🍇 how far the winemakers are with the vintage 🍇 and whether the vine leaves are already turning colorful 🍁 It didn't take long before I ran into the first, two-legged butte 😂 I couldn't see more from behind at first, because the wearer wasn't exactly tall. Then I also saw his colleagues who were busy cutting the grapes from the sticks. Many vines were already empty, but there was still a surprising amount hanging between the vine leaves, which were now showing the first yellow and red tones 😍 The view down into the Main valley was also worth seeing. Especially at the beginning of my hike, the thin fog banks created a beautiful autumn mood. But more and more details quickly emerged from the fog and provided new photo opportunities. A nice little round. And if you want to absorb a little more information along the way, you will find many information signs on grape varieties, regional geology, etc. and the old Franconian Wengert with post training and mixed sentences. If you don't know what that is, you have to stop by the vineyard 😉 Please visit my outdoor and travel blog at https://hinter-dem-horizont.com
