Hiking
Surrounded by the majestic Rocky Mountains, Lake Annette is fed by glaciers and sparkles like a light blue sapphire. Nestled in the spectacular Jasper National Park, it’s a glorious objective. One of the best experiences here is spotting wildlife, from deer to moose and osprey to bears. However, you may need patience and a bit of luck.
You can enjoy this idyllic lake on the short and relatively flat Lake Annette Loop. The beach, which is very popular with the locals, is a great location for a barbecue, a picnic, or just relaxing in the sun. During the warmer months, a dip in the cool water is wonderful.
From the picnic area on Lake Annette Road, you’ll hike south west to the lake. A paved loop leads around the lakeshore. There are signs that indicate the names of the peaks and mountain ranges that jostle for position in a wonderful panorama.

Stop 1️⃣ of today we made at Annette Lake. Numerous seating and barbecue areas invite you to linger. In addition, the lake is used very actively for 🛶 , 🚣♂️ and 🏊. We did a lap on the beautifully landscaped path around the lake. At 29 degrees Celsius 🌡😰 outside temperature a pleasant activity, since almost 50% of the way is in shady areas.
