On Vancouver Island, the nearest idyll is never far away. Thetis Lake Regional Park is located just a few minutes outside the charming coastal town of Victoria. Its Thetis Lake Trail is an ideal and peaceful escape into nature.

From the main car park, you’re just a few steps away from an airy and beautiful oak and spruce forest. You’ll follow the forest path around the lake, never losing sight of its calm, rippling waters. You can climb to the top of large, rounded boulders and enjoy a picnic, as well as a bird's eye view of the landscape.

On hot summer days, Thetis Lake is a popular swimming spot. As the small sandy beach is right next to the car park, the trails remain quiet on the most part. You’ll need hiking boots in wet weather, as the path can get muddy.
