Once again at therechnerberg 🙂 good going at the moment. Less snow . We didn't get to the summit anymore because it was very slippery in the snow. There are a lot of fallen trees and rocks down the Hammergraben, but it's easy to get past everywhere. Wish you all a happy holiday 🎄 and a happy new year 🥂
From the Hammerergraben hiking park to the Feldlahnalm. A very nice hiking trail, always along the stream. Since the alpine pastures weren't open yet, I continued on to the Rechenbergalm. I unpacked my snack in a sunny spot in front of the pasture. I also enjoyed the ☀️. On the way back, I passed a small chapel. Since the weather was so great, I drove to Reifinger Lake for an Aperol Spritz 🍷.
At 9:00 a.m. at zero degrees at the Hammerer Graben car park in Oberwössen, the magnificent Hammerer Graben to the beautifully situated Feldlahnalm at 1000 mtr. above sea level. From here on a forest road to Rechenbergalm. After a 3/4 hour break at the Rechenbergalm currently closed. Beautiful view. (In the sun approx. 10°+) From the Rechenbergalm on the forest road to the starting point. When we came back, everything was parked up. Lots of hikers on the way, no wonder when the weather is nice. Inspired by Sumsi and Hörbi.
Nice tour, especially in hot weather, because in the Hammerer Valley you only climb up along spectacular waterfalls and a rushing torrent. Very varied - especially for children. From Feldlahnalm then in the traverse over to the ascent to the Rechenbergalm only gravel road. To the Rechenbergalm right part upwards. Mostly only gravel road - therefore not so spectacular. The descent to Oberwössen is also nice - but mostly a gravel road.
A beautiful day for a leisurely hike to the Rechenbergalm. The trail led through blooming meadows and quiet forest sections – pure nature. At the Blumenalm, we enjoyed a wonderful snack with a view of the mountains. Afterwards, we continued on to the Feldlahnalm. Although the trail was officially closed due to tree felling, we cautiously ventured – there was no work going on there at the time, and no one was in sight. Otherwise, we would have turned back. Finally, we hiked back to Oberwössen via the idyllic Waterfall Trail. An all-around easy tour on well-maintained paths – perfect for relaxing and enjoying yourself.
As the saying goes: the best comes at the end. For our hiking week in Chiemgau it could be that we put the best on the first day more by chance and absolutely unexpected. But it could also have been a mixture of a lot of good things that made the hike a really great day: - Lush green on the hike along the Hammerer Graben. Wohoo. Finally spring! - Donkey at the Feldlahnalm. The children were more than thrilled. - An open alpine pasture. With service. With cold elderberry spritzer. The first visit to a "restaurant" (if you can call the Alm that, since sometime in 2020). Dear Feldlahnalm team: Were your cheese dumplings always so good or did you really work hard? - Coffee & delicious cake & an incredibly beautiful mountain panorama from the terrace of the Rechenbergalm. - Cows, chickens and goats on the descent. There is no better way to keep children happy. - Two kids who tore down a little more than 9 km and almost 500 meters in altitude on their first day of hiking. That too went unexpectedly well. All in all, a brilliant day and a hike that I can highly recommend to you with children.
The round started today at the mobile home / camping site in Unterwössen. It was small but nice. It went up through Hammerergraben, always along the roaring water, which gushed down many steps. We left the Feldlahnalm on the left and continued uphill. The view of the Geigelstein was the reward. We had to reschedule a bit downwards, as the hiking trail was not passable due to an electric fence.
You can also avoid the road on small paths up to the Rechenbergalm. Short break on the alp and then to the summit, the path is not marked. Then back again on a climb to the Feldlahnalm. Both alpine pastures are still open on weekends in November.
