Vom Rothsee zum Brombachsee

This almost 40 km long bike tour connects the Rothsee with the Großer Brombachsee - or the fourth largest lake in the Franconian Lake District with the largest. Be sure to pack your bathing suit. You have more than earned the refreshing dip in the water at the end of the tour. The varied route starts in Allersberg.

To get in the mood, you cycle the first kilometers along the banks of the Rothsee on a beautiful bike path. While the upper area of the lake is protected, you will find beautiful swimming areas in the lower area. So if you feel like taking a break for the first time, you can swap your cycling shorts for swimming trunks.

You will soon reach Roth again on the saddle. You continue cycling along the Rednitz, which meanders merrily through the landscape. In Georgensgmünd you will then meet the two source rivers of the 50 km long river, the Franconian Redzat and the Swabian Redzat. You stick to the Franconian counterpart and now drive gently uphill.

Shortly before your goal, a crisp but short climb is waiting for you. Once you have mastered this, you will be rewarded with a wonderful view of the Großer Brombachsee. The last stretch is down to the lake shore, the lido in Enderndorf is waiting for you.
