Premium trail - Alde Gott panoramic trail near Sasbachwalden

Great hike on a variety of paths. Wonderful vantage points and good food (Schnapsbrunnen ;) ) on the way.

For me personally, the Genießerpfad - Alde Gott Panoramaweg around Sasbachwalden is one of the most beautiful gourmet paths in the Black Forest. This circular hiking trail has everything to offer. Great views, grapevines, fruit trees, meadows, rest stops, schnapps fountains and even the Gaishölle waterfalls. It was once again a great round in the best hiking weather 😊👌

The locals call their place "Saschwawelle" 🤨 Very nice town, lots of half-timbering, lush flowers on the balconies and of course the modern winegrowers' cooperative "Alde Gott" with plenty of offers for selling the delicious berries in liquid form🍷 Around the place there is said hiking trail with fantastic views over the vineyards and to neighboring Alsace. Today, unfortunately, unspeakably muggy and after yesterday's "Culinary Wine Hike" a bit difficult 🙈 We really enjoyed the ascent through the Gaishöll Gorge - but unfortunately that was right at the beginning of the hike 🤨

A highly varied panoramic route around Sasbachwalden on the western flank of the northern Black Forest. Start at the lush green "Geisshölle" with the Geisshöll waterfalls, then through beautiful forests and cherry tree meadows past rustic Black Forest farms and on the second half of the tour almost exclusively through vineyards. Each view is more beautiful than the other and often over the Rhine plain to Strasbourg Cathedral or the Vosges mountain range. Wonderfully signposted, easily doable with moderate fitness. Various wine and schnapps fountains on the way, and various options in town for cafes and cakes after the tour.

Thanks to the proximity to Ffm, we were able to take this tour with us on the return trip. It was very hot and little shade on the track, but we're not princesses and mimimiii is alien to us. I already knew the route from spring and would run it again and again. However, points were deducted for the fact that there were hardly any refreshment points, as known from Ortenau, along the way. Today could have used a cold drink or two.

A great circular route, the start is the Gaishöll hiking car park, from there after a few meters you enter the pure power of the water and nature. Many small waterfalls and bridges. A total of 13 bridges and 225 steps over 800 meters, then we continue between the vines ..... Our video again soon on our YouTube channel
