This route was planned by komoot.
First, I cycled around Leiden and then through the beautiful, historic city center. In the city center, I took a break by the water and fortified myself with apple pie and coffee. I watched the hustle and bustle of the boats and canoes on the water. Then I headed into the hinterland of Rijnland. There were many idyllic windmills along the way. Unfortunately, part of my planned route was closed, so I had to take a small detour. The detour was worth it, though, because it took me past a farm serving delicious softijs (sweet jam). The farm was very open, and I had the opportunity to look around. The route then continued along lakes, canals, and ditches back to the starting point. Weather: ☀️ 🌡️ 17
