This Tour is in some ways the Geneva region's mountain pass route: from the city centre, the route follows a long and gradual climb marked by several stages. And as you will have understood, at each stage there is a pass. The distance remains accessible, and despite the positive elevation gain of 1250 metres, this Tour is not reserved for seasoned "pass hunters". With a standard physical condition, any cyclist can take up the challenge.
If Geneva is well surrounded with the Jura to the north and the Alps to the south, the Geneva mountain remains the Salève mountains. Anyone who practices road cycling in the Geneva area must place the Salève on their map! In addition, between the Mont-Blanc and Aravis massifs, the Geneva plain, Lake Geneva, the Jura chain, the panoramas are worth the detour.
The Salève cable car surely offers the best view of the lake. And because things are done well, you can find a café with a terrace there to take a little break, have a refreshment or have a bite to eat.

Route that allows you to reach the Montée du Saleve via Saint Blaise without taking the very D1201 departmental road from Geneva. Very beautiful landscapes
