Those who walk better if it hasn't rained before, as the paths on the Günz are otherwise quite damp.
On the way home, after yesterday's Venice-Memmingen stretch, thanks to traffic jams at the toll station, the Brenner Pass, and the Fern Pass, which took us almost 9 hours 😵, we stopped in Memmingen because it's so beautifully located halfway along the route. A lovely Swabian town. Here we did a Glücksheimat loop in Ottobeuren: https://www.glueckswege-allgaeu.de/glueckswege/gluecksheimat-runde Ours was a bit longer because we went into Ottobeuren. A wonderful loop through many field, forest, and meadow paths. There were almost always wide views and lots to discover. We learned here that Sebastian Kneipp was born and lived in Stephansried for a long time 🤣, and I had a wonderful time at the Kneipp pub 😀. The little deer probably thought I was the mom for a moment 🤣, they suddenly came galloping towards me at breakneck speed, and when they realized something was wrong 😅😂 they ran off even faster - what a pity 🥰 The ice cream at the end was a must, of course. 🤣😀 The four-legged friends don't miss out either. The round was longer, of course, but Komoot is still acting up 😵💫😵💫😵💫
A wonderful loop in great weather. Wide grassy landscapes and little civilization. Wonderful. 5⭐️
