Perfectly groomed trails. A wonderful tour with fantastic views!
This tour combines pleasant cycling with a beautiful little hiking circuit to the Schachten area. The starting point is close to the Frauenau drinking water reservoir and then leads uphill through extensive forest areas. The highlight of the tour is definitely the hike. You pass two old high meadow areas with gnarled, ancient willow trees, in between there is a wild moorland area that changes color beautifully in autumn with mysterious dark "moor eyes". You can take your time with this part, because after that it is almost just comfortable downhill cycling on wide forest paths.
One of the most beautiful tours in the Bavarian Forest, this tour has to be done on foot in two places.
Another great tour to the shafts! Unfortunately, the border path is closed all year round for the return route.
Great bike tour, you can see a lot and have great views. Unfortunately you couldn't cycle all the way around the drinking water reservoir. (Lumberjacks at work) Road closed.
