This varied hike takes you from Flachau to the summit of Flachau's local mountain, Grießenkar. The 1,000 meters of altitude that you overcome are definitely worth it: a fantastic panoramic view awaits you at the top, including a summit experience! And you can also save yourself a few meters of altitude if you wish - more on that later.

It starts in the heart of Flachau. You climb relatively steeply to the Starjet middle station over fantastic meadows and hiking trails, then it becomes a little more leisurely. You soon pass the Latschenhof mountain inn, the Hofalm and the Jandlalm - all great places for a quick refreshment. Then you head towards the summit via the war memorial.

The path leads through wonderful flora and fauna, but a certain surefootedness is definitely required on some of the rocky areas. Then the Grießenkareck opens up a fantastic panoramic view of Flachau and the surrounding mountain landscape. Take a seat, take in the view and enjoy your summit experience to the fullest before completing the circuit over beautiful paths and walking back to Flachau.

Tip: You can save yourself a few meters of altitude by floating up with the Starjet 1 and/or 2 summer cable cars.
