Despite the few photos, it is a very beautiful area and a beautiful tour. Today ratcheting was just more important 💁♀️ 😄
Today's tour took me in a beautiful curve above the Altmühl valley, well around the town of Böhming. The starting point was the sports field in Arnsberg. My tour began on a well-maintained gravel path and right from the start I was treated to wonderful views of the Altmühl valley towards Böhming and the striking rock group of the Arnsberger Leite opposite. Shortly afterwards, the first of the two notable climbs on my tour awaited me, which took me long but moderately to the edge of the Kersberg. The path was close to nature and quiet, with forest sections predominating. Where there were views of the Altmühl valley, however, they were magnificent, such as on the starting slope of the Böhminger Paragliding Club near the small town of Ziegelhof. I finally made it back down to the Altmühl near Böhming via beautiful paths, along juniper slopes and past striking Jura rock formations. I continued on a narrow single trail towards Kipfenberg, where a second, wildly romantic climb up the Nordsteig to the Michelsberg (Michaelsberg) awaited me. The area of the "summit plateau" has a lot to offer. Great views in both directions of the Altmühl valley, rest areas and the remains of a historic fortification with a chapel, moats and wall remains. On my little tour of the summit I also discovered more or less hidden viewpoints and rocks. The climb was definitely worth it! Quiet forest sections and a final steep descent on a natural path finally brought me back and down to Arnsberg, right in front of the door of a beautiful restaurant with a garden, unfortunately not yet open.

We started this morning with a light drizzle, but then at some point it disappeared. It started in the direction of Arnsberg mainly on the hiking trail No. 2. In Arnsberg we switched to the other side of the village and from there we hiked back towards Kipfenberg. The route has quite a few steep sections⛰️ and slippery slopes on which good surefootedness is required. A few single trails are quite overgrown and you have to go through nettles and undergrowth. But it's fun to hike these beautiful forest trails🌲. All in all a great hiking tour with very nice viewpoints. 👩🌾
Nice round around Kipfenberg. We started in the rain ☔ on the Michelsberg at 505 meters. We took the north ascent, but did not know that this ascent was closed due to construction work. A friendly local resident just said: continue, nobody works today. So we went up a steep climb🤫. Because we liked the alpine climb, we went back down the east ascent and immediately up again. You felt like a mountaineer 🧗. We went on to Arnsberg. And suddenly the 🌞 came out and it got really hot. Then we are back to Kipfenberg on beautiful forest paths around Böhming.
A very nice round with great views. Sometimes it's pretty uphill and downhill. But it is doable. The view from the Arnsberger Leite is particularly great. We recommend the ice cream in Arnsberg from the ice machine on the sports field. Great selection, it was a difficult decision for me 😉 have fun hiking 🥾
Again we go one of our favorite paths. The Butterfly Trail No. 2..... or 2.0! Thanks to @Helmut for the great inspiration. The north ascent is pretty crisp from a certain height. The way, as always...... sensational
Yay, we're hiking around Kipfenberg! Today it's Butterfly Trail No. 2. We start in Arnsberg and it's already uphill... well... it doesn't matter... today I have light luggage. It's amazing, there aren't that many butterflies to be seen at the beginning. That worries me, because there are fewer and fewer. Although wild meadows can be seen constantly, with nettles, thistles, sloes and so on....the yield is lower. It's getting hot and the goal is the sundae. Now we come to a very sunny place and here many different butterflies are looking for nectar. I can photograph six different species. That's great! So, now to the 🍨... very fine! Now we're so motivated... well, let's go up the east ascent! So, we're up on the Michelsberg! Beautiful - we enjoy the view of Kipfenberg Castle and the Altmühltal. Just beautiful. The rest of the route is wonderful in the forest and takes us to Arnsberg. I can only recommend this way.
