Another day, another hike through the stunning Solling Vogler region! ᵂ̲ᴱ̲ᴿ̲ᴮ̲ᵁ̲ᴺ̲ᴳ̲ Sollingvoglerregion Weserbergland But before we explore the circular hiking trail forest runners, we make a short stop at the Uslar landmark. We meet the regional brand Echt! - provider Atti Art in her workshop and she surprises us with beautiful and individual handicrafts made of wood 🪵. She also made something nice for Asta and me ♥️ (More about that in the story) Then it finally starts, we are ready to explore nature on the circular hiking trail Ranger! We listen to the birdsong and breathe in the scent of the original forest nature. 🌳🪵💚 On the way we stop at the Köhlerhütte at the water treading pool with barefoot path and above the sand pit to take a well-deserved break and enjoy the beauty of nature. The mountain lake, which was created from an old brown coal mine and is now a natural monument, is our last stop on this exciting hike. Our absolute highlight 🐟, because the lake is absolutely quiet and we relax on the lake shore 🐶😊 We are warmly welcomed at @landhotelamrothenberg The sauna is awesome and there is a mining ⛏️ feeling. Great and custom made. The rooms also invite you to relax. The food is great and the humor and passion for their guests is not neglected. If you want to combine wellness, enjoyment, hiking and the outdoors, the Landhotel am Rothenberg is the perfect place for you. Strength lies in stillness, and we found it today on our foray through the Solling Vogler region. 🎒 @tatonkacom 🧦 @falkesport #sollingvogler #wildeheimat #wandernmitwilli #wandern
Delliehausen was mainly a forestry and charcoal burning village, which is still evidenced by a museum-operated charcoal kiln today. We walk on natural paths through quiet forests. We pass a current sand mining pit and then reach the mountain lake (an opencast mining hole). Brown coal and quartz sand have been mined here since 1888. After mining finally stopped after the Second World War, the 50 meter deep pit slowly filled with water. Today's lake is a natural monument. Ducks and geese chatter, dragonflies buzz around us.
In the eastern Solling lies the charcoal-burning village of Delliehausen, which today lived up to its nickname. 👌 In overcast, cool weather ☁️, today we set off on the Waldläufer circular route, a combination of LRR Buchenwald and DE 6, whose signposts accompany the tour. The varied circuit, one of the "wild and local" quality tours in the Solling-Vogler region, runs partly on very rustic paths (LRR Buchenwald) and beautiful forest, meadow and forestry paths (DE 6). On the first descent it was so rustic that I lost the trail🤦🏻♂️. But I found it again. 😅 The old beech forests, the beautiful views and interesting insights into the mining history of the village of Delliehausen are beautiful. The Solling-Heimatverein Delliehausen gave me a very special highlight today with its festival at the charcoal burner's hut: there was not only delicious food 👍😋, but also a real, burning charcoal kiln that had been lit this morning and will now glow for 14 days. 🤩👌 The appropriate explanations were given in person on site. I also did a lap around the beautiful mountain lake. 🤗 I definitely recommend ankle-high hiking boots for the tour! 🥾 More information at: www.solling-vogler-region.de
the round tour forest runner (De6 + LRR) (https://www.solling-vogler-region.de/de/tour/wandern/waldlaeufer-de-6-lrr-/2923971/ - slightly adjusted - we liked it much better. In the beginning there was still a lot of asphalt, but it got better and better. There are also narrow nature trails here, not just wide forest roads! But the signage was incomplete - without the gpx file we would have gotten lost. Although the official gpx track was apparently created on the PC and not recorded on site - there is no way around the dead straight piece from about km 1.5 of the original track... We had the impression that signposts for the Ranger Path were only placed at junctions where you could drive by car... - the pieces on the LRR habitat route were beautiful! Narrow nature trails through beech forest - great! https://www.outdooractive.com/de/route/themenweg/solling-vogler-region/lebensraumroute-der-buchenwald-im-solling-grosse-runde/8514681/#dmdtab=oax-tab1 - the tour was not recorded with komoot, so here it is complete with all breaks
