PARADIESTAL ⛰️ + https://www.schederndorf.de/ Brauerei Will 👍🏻😋🍺 (unfortunately nothing was open in Steinfeld and there was no 🍺 there)
From the car park outside Wölkendorf we first went to Schederndorf to the Will. Beforehand, a beautiful path through fields and valley. Before refreshment we visited the Lourdes Chapel. In the beer garden we had a delicious 🍺 and a snack. Then we continued towards Steinfeld. Pure enjoyment of nature. In Steinfeld we somehow took the wrong path through the town and missed the Hübner brewery. Well, we didn't want to go back. Continue out of the town and always along the Wiesent to the entrance to the Paradiestal. Further through the valley. After the motorway we returned to the starting point. Lots of nature and a beautiful loop. With places to stop for a break. The Will Schederndorf only offers snacks and cakes in the beer garden. The Hübner in Steinfeld is not open on Sundays until 1.30pm.
First we went to Steinfeld to the Wiesentquelle, a stop at the HübnerBräu is recommended. Then we went on to Schederndorf. Pay a visit to the little church and in the neighborhood to the beer garden of the Will brewery. Back under the A 70 and now into the beautiful paradise valley. Great rock formations as far as the eye can see.
Paradise on earth - according to legend, this is precisely the place the devil chose to hide his gold treasure. It is inside the desert stone, the most striking rock in the beautiful paradise valley, which attracts many climbers when the weather is good. The dry valley with its bizarre rock formations, juniper heaths and meadows that bloom in spring and summer is also home to many birds. Sometimes you can even hear the song of an oriole on a hike through this quiet valley.
Refreshment tip: Will brewery in Schederndorf, great snacks👌
Fantastic hike through the Paradise Valley with delicious beers in Steinfeld and Schederndorf.
Another tour in Franconian Switzerland. For the Paradiestal section, I give it a rating of ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and for the rest of the tour, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Warning: Pictures! You can see a dead animal (a deer) that was given to Mother Mary as a Christian offering. The hiking parking lot and the Lange Stein are right next to the A70, so you have to walk a few steps before the chirping of birds and the buzzing of insects take over again. Unfortunately, in the morning, at least in May, the beautiful rocks are backlit by the sun. Speaking of sun: This tour isn't suitable for hot days, as there are hardly any shady sections. After the tour, I walked a bit further into Paradise Valley to take a few photos of the rocks without backlighting.
The Paradise Valley is an "oasis of peace." From the hiking car park just after Wölkendorf, passing under the A70, you're at the entrance to the Paradise Valley in just a few minutes. Framed by slopes with bizarre rock formations, past lush flowering meadows and numerous butterflies. Wonderfully green nature, far from the noise of the road, pure tranquility. Worth a visit at any time of year. Don't follow my shortcut just before Schederndorf; it leads along the road for a bit and then into a "wilderness." It's better to take the route via Schederndof.
