Stunning panorama. If it weren't for the flat terrain and the sandy soil, it would feel like we were in the Hautes Fagnes.
Hiking in the Euregio Today we enjoyed a beautiful, sunny hike in the Hoge Kempen nature reserve behind Lanaken and Opgrimbie. There were six of us, and we started out in a cold fog that shrouded the heath and woods in a mysterious veil. Gradually, the fog lifted, and the sun came out. We were able to stow our extra layers in our backpacks and enjoy a warm, spring-like day. The Ziepbeek Valley, with its crystal-clear streams and ponds, was simply magnificent. We took a break with a panoramic view of the damp heath and enjoyed a coffee at Brasserie Aspermans in Opgrimbie. We ended our pleasant and easy hike at Brasserie De Wissel in Lanaken. Many thanks to all the wonderful participants, and until the next adventure! 🤗🚶♀️🚶➡️👍🙋♂️
Magnificent discovery very beautiful course very varied with the colors of autumn we took full view and full nostrils I adored
Very varied hike. Forest, dunes and moor. Sturdy shoes are definitely recommended as it is quite muddy in places. 🐕
Today, six of us hiked in the Hoge Kempen National Park in Belgium, between Maastricht and Maasmechelen. It was quite foggy at first, but the sun came out more and more during the hike. 🌞 It was another beautiful Sunday hike.
We got up very early for a walk between the flowering heather. Start at "La butte aux bois". The sun showed some time behind the clouds. The dew-raindrops were waiting for those warm sun rays so they could shine like diamonds... and they did 🤩 Enjoyed that beautiful purple heather, rising sun, beautiful drops, tree blue, small fire butterfly, blood red darter and the different mushrooms : ordinary witch bolete, reddish-brown slender amanita, russula 🙏
