This route was planned by komoot.
So. Ode to #dolle. The 3 stages Heidschnuckenweg hiked in one night. Of course I can't. But the night is already my thing. As Wer Wolf 👌. The full moon is only Saturday. But today was pretty nice too. I had fond memories of the way on the Este. But even there you can be mistaken. Thought, go the other way around, first the forest, then the open field .... deceptive brain: Actually, the path mainly consists of forest. So without a flashlight, at some point we couldn't go on. But it didn't hurt anything. Walking in the dark makes a comparison possible. 100 meters during the day or at night have very different qualities. This is called micro-adventure today. 😊 It's the silence that excites. You hear your own footsteps that are otherwise lost in the noises of the day. You don't meet anyone (!!!). You realize too late what you got yourself into. GORGEOUS! I am sorry for the many pictures of the moon. I love her terribly. Unfortunately, the cell phone camera soon reached its limits, I still had a DSLR camera app that managed to take reasonably reasonable photos with the light of the moon. It was a wonderful walk!
There is no such thing as bad weather......but it could slowly become brighter and drier again 😏. It wasn't any better on the Este between Hollenstedt and Moisburg. But it was still a really beautiful, varied hiking trail👍
The circular route starts at the administrative building (🅿️) in Moisburg. The route always follows the hiking trail marked with a yellow arrow. Due to the starting point, only the junction to the alternative starting point in Hollenstedt is left out. This means that the route is slightly shorter than the official route length of 15 km. Regardless of this, a very varied and beautiful hiking trail. There are lots of deer to see. For those interested, there is a very good book about all sections of the hiking trail. Including information about highlights along the route. Hans-Joachim Dammann, The Este hiking trail. Edition 2022 👍.
Today I was drawn to the Estonians again. This time, however, not on my "standard" route in the Lower Estetal, probing into the middle, so to speak. The starting point was Moisburg, where you can park very well. The first piece leads out of town and is not very spectacular. From then on, forest and meadows alternate and there are always beautiful natural passages. Unfortunately, you can't see anything of the Este on the way to Hollenstedt. I saved myself the trip through Hollenstedt and in the end I shortened it over a field because the path marked no longer exists. The way back is definitely nicer and every now and then you get to see the Estonians. The way around the Appenbeck lakes is worthwhile. Overall, you can do the tour well, but there are nicer paths on the Este. So there are 14 more euros as part of my # hike4charity campaign for https://www.hanseatic-help.org/
NSG Estetal in the dark. This could be the short version of the tour. How it is when you arrive at the weekend home in the afternoon at this time of year and then want to go for a good (i.e. not a small) round😁 When it was still light there was a lot of nature to see. Later we brought light🔦 into the dark with the headlamps. The encounter with two deer is very sweet, at first only two pairs of eyes that reflected the light, then the bodies that were very close to the path can be recognized😊 A very long jetty along the moor is certainly even more beautiful in the light, even if it was certainly more exciting in the semi-dark😄
It was a nice hike. I was with a great group and afterwards we went to the Appelbecker See for a meal😃
