Wonderful tour through nature with many corn fields and very good bike paths. This is how cycling is fun .....
😊...a very nice tour through Münsterland with beautiful cycle paths, historic mills and manor houses,...the weather was perfect too...sun with a light breeze....🌞
A tour with many historical surprises. Until now, for whatever reason, Legden, Heek, and Asbeck weren't on my route. I've already visited Ahaus, but it's also a very pleasant bike ride. 5 out of 5 stars for this route!
Let's complain: it wasn't walking weather, you must have noticed. Karel does not want to go when it is so hot. (and that is sensible of sir). So I found a bike tour that starts in Ahaus. (to be fair, I had never been there before). A route with castles (wasserschlosser) but also Burgmannshoffe (mit umlaut) and a beautiful Stift. A bit hilly but easy to do on the e-bike. Parking in Ahaus is very expensive (three euros for a whole day). The starting point is 25 minutes by car from Enschede. Do you want the knot points or the gpx (or both) let me know. We thought it was a real holiday close to home, for an impression take a look at https://youtu.be/lY9hU6YgWn8
Asbeck is worth seeing. The dahlia garden in Legden is highly recommended. Ahaus, of course, the castle is a must.
A tour through the western Münsterland. Endless expanses alternating with avenues of corn.
Finally we were on tour again. It was very nice. However, some of the roads were still difficult to navigate with the trailer.
