Today I was able to go for another ride with @Reiner, and he always likes a bit of a sporty vibe. The Kampenwand circuit seemed just right for me. I don't think he was disappointed either. Although he also quite liked the bike path to Aschau after the highlight descent through the Klausgraben. But cutting the tour short here was out of the question, so he let himself be persuaded to enjoy the final leg-crunching climb under the Kampenwand cable car to the finish line. 🤪. Looking forward to the next time with you, Reiner.
Today we went from the Kohlstatt car park to the Hochalm. Steep uphill from the start. A good breeding season at the hut. Great view of the Chiemsee and the mountains. After a long, steep descent, the brake discs were blue again. The trails after the last descent turned out to be S1 to S3. Partly pushing. The crossings at the pastures were hard (high with barbed wire).
Has everything that makes a good MTB tour Push and carry passages and bumpy cart paths
Today we went on a wonderful autumn tour around the Kampenwand. With a fresh 5 degrees in the parking lot and bright sunshine, we went steeply uphill without rolling in 😬 the whole tour is a constant up and down and now in November with wet leaves on stones and roots it's a challenge...just let it roll, you can see Nothing anyway 😂 (I was grateful for my sticky tires 😅) However, doable with a hardtail, since S1 and S2. However, a few sliding passages with steps are also included. There are short spots where you have to push up trails. Here - which should be a given - consideration should be given to hikers... Attention: there may still be scolding older ladies with dogs approaching 🙈 All in all, a fantastically beautiful tour and definitely recommended 🤩.
Enjoy the panorama and the view of Lake Chiemsee on the Hochalm.
