This route was planned by komoot.
Via the Wandeltour adventurous Drentsche Aa, walked this route today. Lovely weather, until about 3 kilometers before the end. Then the locks opened. Poncho on and on.... lovely route, of a 10 kilometers. Be careful!! There are some parts where you are NOT allowed to go with your dog (grazing area)
Beautiful landscape and beautiful winter weather. Unfortunately, in the morning on the first half of the tour, there was extremely annoying motocross noise, which reduced the relaxation factor for that part of the route to zero! 😖🤬 After lunch, luckily, it eventually calmed down and you could enjoy the rest of the tour with many other people who were also on the road. Conclusion: Before you want to enjoy nature in the area, make sure you find out whether there are a horde of ruffians on their motorcycles in Assen...
What a fantastic round. It connects different areas around the Drentse Aa with each other. Easy to walk, beautiful avenues, nice paths and plenty of benches along the way
Muddier in one place or another than I thought. Nice area, but you won't be lonely here on Easter Sunday.
When we leave Anloo we soon arrive in the Strubben Kniphorstbosch, unfortunately Annie was not welcome here so we had to detour a bit. Unfortunately, the entire area turned out to be no longer accessible with a dog. Eventually we came to a path with another prohibition sign. On the same pole, however, there was also a prohibition for horses and cyclists, while we were just passed by a group of horse riders, a cyclist and a mountain biker. Special paths have even been constructed for all three means of transport. We decided to ignore the signs and 'secretly' walk on. This is a beautiful, almost completely unpaved walking route along beautiful nature reserves; the heathland and woods of the Strubben Kniphorstbosch, the swamp around Het Siepelveen and of course the stream valleys of Het Schipborgsche Diep and Oude Molensche Diep.
Nice walk from Staatsbosbeheer from Anloo. Very quiet (only bird concerts 😀) and almost only on unpaved paths! https://www.staatsbosbeheer.nl/uit-in-de-natuur/wandelroute-drentsche-aa The information on the walk was incorrect. The route states that the dog is allowed on a leash. Unfortunately, on arrival at the Strubben Kniphorstboch there were signs that the dog is not welcome.🤷 ♀️ Also had beautiful weather, once home it was gray and gray again, but they won't take this away from us anymore!😀😉
