A beautiful autumn tour along the Ems from Meppen to Haren and back. In Meppen there was the annual town hall fair and in Haren the Holland market. And in between there is a beautiful cycle path. It doesn't matter whether you ride on the left or right side, both sides have their charm.

Today with friends a nice tour from Meppen to Haren and back to Meppen. Most of the way along the water. It was a lot of fun to see something other than the Nordhorn area
Route: Start in Haren past the shipping museum, historic lock system, tugboat August, marina, nature trail along the Ems, old Embrücke & Hüntel, Holthausen farming community, Borkener & Versener Paradies, giant trees in Esterfelder Forst. Along the Ems to Meppen. Meppen market square. Then return along the other side of the Ems with Obelix beer garden at the edge of Meppen next to the Ems. Meppen marina with wooden bridge. Circumnavigation of Eurohafen Haren / Meppen. Sculpture garden on the Ems in Haren. Ems bridge. Dolomiti ice cream parlor with the city's landmark: the Emslanddom on Schwester Kundigunde Platz. Then through Lange Strasse (shopping street) back to Hagen's Hotel.
A canal, a mountain stream (at least that's what it looks like), forest and countless bridges. All in one go. So give it a try.
