This route was planned by komoot.
The Hohe Fläming lives up to its name. There are lots of ups and then quick downs. 😉
The "Adventure tour by bike through the Hohen Fläming" scheduled for Saturday, July 17, 2021, unfortunately had to be postponed to Sunday at short notice. The reason for this was a thunderstorm weather forecast. Nevertheless, ten enthusiastic cyclists accepted the invitation from the Märkischer Wanderbund. Our senior participant could look back on over 80 proud years of life. Nobody could blame him for having his e-bike support him in mastering the quite challenging sections of the route that Germany's smallest low mountain range has to offer. Over the mountain ranges of the Fläming, with a wide view of the country, the path led us from Eisenhardt Castle via the Coconat Café on Gutshof Glien and the famous Hagelberg (201 m) to Schmerwitz, where we set off for the rest of the trail with excellent cake and coffee could strengthen. Next, the Wiesenburg Palace greeted us with one of the most enchanting parks between Sanssouci and Wörlitzer Park. We cycled on past Jeseriger See towards Brandtsheide. We stopped at the family hotel run by hiking guide Werner Rudolph for lunch. In the best cycling weather we enjoyed the good kitchen of the house in the open air, whereby the majority of the sports fans praised the “Brandtsheider Sülze”, which has already been awarded by the MDR. In the small Fläming village of Grubo, part of the group said goodbye with a longer journey to take the direct route past Bergholz towards Bad Belzig. Raben, with its Rabenstein Castle and the nature park center, was on the way of the rest of the group. The path led us along the Planetal to Rädigke, where we had another stop at the Vierseit-Gasthof (family-owned since the 30 Years War) from hiking friend Bernd Moritz. Buchholz, Kranepuhl and Bergholz were the last Flämingdörfer before the starting point of the tour was reached at Bad Belzig station. The participants of this bike tour were all satisfied with the successful day and not a few promised to come back on the upcoming tours.
