This route was planned by komoot.
As planned, we left at 10:00. First we went to Bad Schandau on the Elbe. It was already cold. I would have liked to have had my leg warmers with me. Then we went into the Kirnitschtal and raced on the train. Always steadily uphill and then turned right at the Neumannmühle into the national park. And, as predicted, Klärchen came out. As we continued uphill, I found my outfit more and more suitable. I even had to take off my jacket. Sweat🤪. Then the landscape became so beautiful... I was blown away. Sometimes up, sometimes down, then really up again... just a great route for graveling. Halfway through, I treated myself to a stop at the Felsenmühle guesthouse/rest stop. The mushroom ragout with bread dumplings was delicious. And then the quark dumplings afterwards😋. Just like mom's😃. But... oh dear. There were a few more meters of altitude and I and my food cravings were bitterly punished😂. With fantastic rocky landscapes along the way, we then went back on the National Park bike trail towards Bad Schandau. And from there back along the Elbe to the Königstein campsite. Autumn in the last days of October gave this fantastic gravel tour the right colors in dry weather. You have to go there!!!😃🙋♂️
