Tour description Challenging circular hike to the Mittagskogel in the Carinthian region of Villach-Faaker See-Ossiacher See: From the village of OUTSCHENA or from the Martinihof inn, the long tour leads over the Zollhütte and the Annahütte to the Mittagskogel at 2,145m, from which you have a fantastic view of the Karawanks and the Julian Alps. Via the Bertahütte (open until the end of October), where you can fortify yourself with Carinthian delicacies, you return to the valley to the starting point. From the Martinihof inn, head west along the asphalt road along the Kropiunabach to the intersection where the Outschena ditch comes down from the south. You climb up to the Zollhütte and then to the Annahütte, 1,580 m. Then you go over the ridge and around the Kleiner Mittagskogel, 1,805 m, towards the southeast to the Großer Mittagskogel, 2,145 m. For the descent, follow the path briefly towards the southeast and then turn left at the gap, towards the northeast, to descend to the Bertahütte. From there you go down the path, which crosses the road to the Bertahütte several times, down into the valley and back to the starting point. Eva and Roland wish you lots of fun on our tour
